Rivers and streams are highly valued natural resources that provide important ecological, economic, recreational, and aesthetic benefits. However, most river and stream channels move horizontally and vertically over time, causing development and infrastructure along these waterways to become threatened by erosion and streambank failure.

Pacific International Engineering staff have conducted project work involving bank erosion stabilization and identification of long-term solutions for erosion problems. Particular attention is paid to environmentally sensitive solutions that can improve fish and wildlife habitat while providing low-maintenance solutions to erosion problems. Our engineers and scientists perform bathymetric surveys, geological sampling, and hydraulic modeling, and develop alternative solutions. PI Engineering staff are involved with projects from beginning to end, offering final engineering and design, permit acquisition, and construction management.

Services offered within this area of expertise include:

  • Numerical Modeling
  • Civil Design
  • Permitting
  • Construction Management
