The COASTOX model is a finite-difference, linear, monochromatic wave model for the simulation of wave refraction, diffraction, reflection and transmission.
The model is based on the hyperbolic approximation to the mild slope equation, and can be run in steady-state and in the time domain in an extremely efficient manner (orders of magnitude less time than Boussinesq approaches).
